Structured PTFE with Barium Sulphate

Structured PTFE with Barium Sulphate

Description

Structured PTFE with Barium Sulphateis a high performance, barium sulfate filled PTFE gasketing material. It is designed for use in strong caustics and toxic chemicals, such as chlorine, ammonia, and phosgene, where initiating and maintaining an extremely tight seal is critical. In addition, the Structured PTFE with Barium Sulphateprovides exceptional performance in monomer services.Perfect for alkali, solvents, fuels, water, steam and chlorine. Particularly suitable for hydrofluoric acid if not pure.

Specification

  • PH : 0-14(except molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine)

  • Recommended temperature range :  -210°C (-346°F) to +260°C (+500°F)

material heat resistant up to +315°C (+600°F)

  • Pressure range :  vacuum up to 80bar (1200psi) depending on the installation situation

  • Physiologically inert :  physiologically harmless in all recommended applications

  • Density :  2,80 g/cm³ ± 0,25 g/cm³

  • Color :  white

Advantages

  • Tighter seal

  • Improved performance over conventional PTFE

  • Reduced product loss and emissions

  • Reduced creep relaxation

  • Unique manufacturing process minimizes cold flow problems typical of skived and expanded PTFE sheets

  • Excellent bolt torque retention

  • Withstands a wide range of chemicals for extended service life in a wide variety of applications

  • Offers some of the largest sheet sizes in the industry

  • Improved material utilization reduces waste

  • Branding and color coding reduces misapplication

  • Will not support flame

  • Will not support bacterial growth

Industries

  • Corrosion-resistant lining of steel parts

  • Valves and pipes

  • Gaskets requiring low deformation under load

  • Improved Weldability lends well to semiconductor applications

  • Carriers for silicon wafers and flat panel displays
